The first jacket of the 300MW Zhong Neng offshore wind project, off Taiwan, has been installed.
Green Jade, the first Taiwan-built offshore wind installation vessel, operated by CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE), carried out the installation.

The jacket foundations will host Vestas V174-9.5MW turbines.
The Zhong Neng offshore wind project is located off the western coast of Changhua and is co-owned by China Steel Corporation and a renewable energy infrastructure fund managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
The site, which reached financial close in December 2021, is expected to start commercial operations in 2024.
