Japan’s Nyuzen offshore wind project, featuring three Mingyang Smart Energy’s typhoon-resistant turbines, is now officially operational.
Developed by Venti Japan, the 9MW project comprising MySE 3.0-135 turbines is located off the coast of Nyuzen-machi, in Toyama prefecture.

The Nyuzen project will provide power to approximately 3,600 local households annually.
As a result of its involvement in the project, Mingyang has become first Chinese OEM to receive certification from METI and ClassNK.
The turbine firm said: “We’re grateful to our partners for their support on this journey, and we remain committed to advancing offshore wind development in Japan with our reliable, adaptable, and cost-effective products.”
