Vestas has opened a new office in Seoul, South Korea, consolidating its APAC headquarters.
The turbine manufacturer said that offshore wind is a growing sector in South Korea, and wind energy will play a significant role in the country’s efforts to address climate change and enhance energy security.
Vestas added that it was ready to collaborate with South Korea as a vital partner in its climate initiatives.
It hosted an office opening ceremony attended were Cheol-won Kang, Vice Mayor of Seoul, Svend Olling, Ambassador of Denmark to the Republic of Korea, and other industry stakeholders.
Vestas said on social media: “With this, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the introduction of offshore wind energy in South Korea, together with our partners.”
