The Japanese government has selected a consortium of six companies led by the Toda Corporation to develop a floating offshore wind farm off the country’s coast.
The group, which also includes Kepco and the Eneos Corporation, was the only bidder and will work on the 16.8MW project off Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

The other companies behind the Goto City Offshore Wind Power Generation LLC consortium are Osaka Gas, INPEX, and Chubu Electric Power.
The auction opened in 2020.
