Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) has signed a contract with Orsted to provide services during the construction phase of the 1400MW Hornsea 2 offshore wind farm off the east coast of England.
The deal covers the provision of the temporary power solution, service technicians and both crew transfer and walk-to-work vessels, MRE said.
MRE director Toby Mead said: “When the company was founded in 2013, we set our sights on becoming the leading provider of temporary power to the offshore wind market and to undertake multi-disciplined marine projects, such as this.
“We’ve been fortunate enough to work with Orsted on several projects and we look forward to building on that solid relationship.”
Hornsea 2 will comprise 165 Siemens Gamesa 8.0-167 turbines and is due online next year.
