French energy regulator CRE will run a question and answer session on its website between today and midday on 12 February, the results of which will be published on 26 February.
Selected applicants will then enter a four month “competitive dialogue”, currently planned to kick off in April.
This period can be extended if the State considers it necessary, the government said.
