RWE has contracted MPI Offshore’s wind turbine installation vessel MPI Resolution to remove the IJmuiden met mast off the Netherlands coast.
MPI Resolution (pictured) will start the removal and disposal job later this year.
The 100-metre mast is located in waters up to 26 metres deep, approximately 85km off the coast.
It has mainly been gathering meteorological data in preparation for the construction and operation of future wind farms in the Ijmuiden Ver wind farm area.
