Spanish company Navantia is continuing to progress with the assembly of spars for Statoil and Masadar’s 30MW Hywind Scotland floating offshore wind demonstration project.
The work is being carried out at Navantia’s Fene shipyard in Spain.
The demo project will be located 30km off the coast of northeast Scotland.
It will consist of five 6MW Siemens turbines and is scheduled to come online later this year.
