Offshore wind support outfit BostonRix Wind has appointed Steve Danson as its new general manager.
Danson (pictured, right) joins from Centrica where he spent the last three years serving as site manager for the Lincs offshore wind farm off Lincolnshire.
Formed in 2016, BostonRix Wind is a joint venture between Rix Group and Boston Energy. It supplies strategic assets and services for offshore wind farms.
Danson said he would work to streamline procurement procedures and operational management for wind farm construction and maintenance.
“As a previous client to that sector over the past seven years, I know the frustrations and expense that are involved with multiple contracts. They are costly and can be very hard to manage,” he said.
