Spanish company Navantia has completed fabrication and shipped the first two jacket foundations for Siemens Gamesa’s 28MW Nissum Bredning demonstration project off Denmark.
It built the structures alongside compatriot Windar and is continuing with the remaining two structures.
Contractor Aarsleff, which is manufacturing the associated concrete transition pieces, will start installation of the gravity-base jackets shortly.
Four Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines are due to be installed later in the year.
