The operator of the 332MW Nordsee 1 offshore wind farm in the German Bight is tendering for the long-term servicing of the project’s 54 Senvion turbines.
According to details of the tender, posted on the Publications Office of the EU, Nordsee One Gmbh wants to enter into a service and maintenance agreement with a “long-term full-scope service for the 54 turbines, starting from 7 December 2020 until 6 December 2027”.
The main tasks of the scope will be scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspection and repair of components including major components, management of spare parts, documentation and reporting and all tasks deemed necessary to keep the wind farm running safely and sustainably, including full logistics, base infrastructure, spare part procurement, monitoring and control.
Nordsee 1 is located 32 km north of the island Juist in water depths ranging between 26 metres and 34 metres with 2.7 metre tidal range.
The Senvion turbines are the 6.2M126 type with a nominal output of 6.15MW.
The contract will be subject to renewal. Between three and five candidates will be invited to bid for the contract and the tender process will occur during 2020.
The deadline of the initial qualification phase is 7 January, with requests to participate due on 17 January.
Invitation to tender will occur on 11 February, with the initial tender deadline set for 2 March, followed by first round negotiations from 30 March to 3 April 2020.
The invitation for revised tenders will be issued on 28 April with the revised tenders due on 19 May.
Second round tender negotiations will be held 1-3 July with invitation to submit final tenders on 27 July. The final tender deadline is 17 August with contract award slated for 30 September 2020.
