Allseas was working for lead installation contractor DEME Offshore.
The substation weights around 2500 tonnes and was built by French fabricator Atlantique Offshore Energy.
Other construction work is underway at the wind farm, including installation of the project’s 61 turbine foundations.
The latter is to wrap up early next year before Siemens Gamesa turbines are installed.
The wind farm is due online in 2025.
Noirmoutier is being developed by the EMYN consortium, which includes Sumitomo Corporate and Caisse des Depots.
