Vestas has banked a firm and unconditional order from RWE to supply turbines for the German developer’s 660MW Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The Danish manufacturer will supply 44 V236-15.0MW turbines for the project.

The contract is for both supply and installation.
It also includes commissioning of the hardware and a five-year service agreement.
Confirmation of the deal follows Vestas securing preferred bidder status in February 2023 for the full 1.6GW Nordseecluster complex.
A second phase is on a slightly later development timeline.
