Specialist contractors have completed a 420km seabed survey for the export cable of the proposed 3.6GW Ossian floating wind farm.
The month-long benthic campaign sampled 122 sites from the array 84km off Aberdeenshire to landfall in Lincolnshire.

“The data will support engineers and EIA consultants in identifying viable cable routes,” said benthic survey project manager Anne-Charlotte Gaillard.
Ossian is a joint venture between SSE Renewables, Marubeni and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
The project remains subject to planning consent, a route to market and a final investment decision.
The benthic work followed a 13-month uncrewed geophysical survey that finished in January after withstanding 11 named storms.
