Peterson Energy Logistics has opened a new base in IJmuiden in the Netherlands, aimed at expanding the company’s offering for the Southern North Sea.
The company said that through acquiring the assets of Ymond Offshore Logistics B.V., Peterson has strengthened its position as the logistics and supply chain partner of choice for the Dutch offshore energy sector with a new strategically located facility.
Head of Commercial Netherlands at Peterson Mark Hol said: “The strategic positioning of these facilities in IJmuiden enables us to serve our customers more closely and efficiently, including supporting offshore wind operations and maintenance bases for offshore wind customers in the area.
“IJmuiden is a welcome addition to our presence at a broad network of ports in the Netherlands and UK servicing offshore operations in the North Sea and further allows us to tailor the most effective end-to-end logistics solutions for our customers.”
The three-warehouse acquisition was officially launched on 1 October.
Two of the warehouses are located directly at the quayside, enabling customers to store goods and equipment in immediate proximity to offshore operations.
The third warehouse, known as the shore base, offers a large yard and indoor storage close to the quayside and is ideally suited for large equipment, mobilisations, and long-term storage.
The comprehensive service offering includes port agency and ship agency services, customs clearance, and stevedoring with its own equipment, as well as storage and handling services, vessel chartering, CTV campaign support, and related logistics solutions.
