Polish subcontractors Ultra NDT SC and Jaworski Energy Services have been chosen to provide testing and services for the Hollandse Kust Noord (HKN) offshore substation topside.
Ultra NDT SC will provide non-destructive testing and Jaworski Energy Services will provide project management and technical supervision over the contracted scope.
TenneT awarded the Engie Solutions and Lemants joint venture the contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, offshore installation, connection and testing of the offshore transformer station for the HKN wind farm zone.
The offshore transformer station comprises a 45 metre-high jacket weighing 1930 tonnes and 870 tonne piles that will be installed in water depths of 24 metres.
The topside structure consists of 4 decks weighing 4100 tonnes, which is 47 metres long, 35 metres wide and 25 metres high.
Both companies were recently awarded a contract by Smulders and Engie Solutions for works in relation to the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm substation topside and jacket.
