Prysmian Group has secured contracts for array cabling at three offshore wind farms to be built off the coast of France.
The deals, first reported in the subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS in June, cover design, supply and installation of cables at the 498MW Fecamp and 450MW Courseulles-sur-Mer projects.
The wind farms are being developed by Eolien Maritime France (EMF) – a joint venture between EDF Energies Nouvelles and the Canadian company Enbridge – and German outfit WPD.
Prysmian said the contracts are worth over €200m, with work expected to start in the early autumn.
The company said a third contract in a consortium with Louis Dreyfus Travocean is expected to be completed soon with EMF for the 480MW Saint-Nazaire wind farm. The deal will be worth over €20m, Prysmian said.
