Orsted has delayed the commercial operation date for its 704MW Revolution Wind from 2025 to 2026.
The company blamed a construction delay at the onshore substation, which is being built by the utility company Eversource.

The substation is located on a former Naval base, where there is contamination in the soil.
The discovery mandated significant additional piling and a redesign of the site, Orsted Group President and CEO Mads Nipper told reporters.
“This means that we have pushed the commercial operation date from 2025 into 2026, which led to an impairment. This is, of course, unsatisfactory, and we continue our dedicated efforts to de-risk our portfolio,” Nipper said in a release.
