SeaRoc Group’s SeaPlanner marine management system will support operations and maintenance for 10 years at the 128MW Formosa 1 offshore wind farm off Taiwan.
The software will be used to coordinate all personnel and marine logistics for the wind farm, located near Miaoli, on the west coast of Taiwan.
SeaPlanner provides an integrated solution for managing safety and efficiency on a project, including inductions, personnel certification management, vessel and personnel tracking, all viewable from an interactive map of the project site.
Formosa 1 offshore wind farm is a joint venture of Orsted (35%), Jera (32.5%), Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (25%) and Swancor Holding (7.5%).
SeaPlanner managing director Steve Pears said: “SeaPlanner is currently employed on a significant percentage of the world’s offshore wind turbines, including Formosa 1 and we are pleased to extend our support on this milestone project.”
The first 8MW phase of Formosa 1 started operations in 2017 featuring two 4MW Siemens Gamesa turbines.
The second phase, which comprises 20 Siemens Gamesa 6MW machines, was inaugurated earlier this month.
