SeaRoc’s SeaPlanner will provide its marine management system and SeaHub communications solution during construction of Innogy’s 857MW Triton Knoll offshore wind farm off east England.
The marine management system will be deployed for use by the construction project team to coordinate all personnel and marine logistics for the 145km-square site.
SeaHub will be used to provide communications for the site using radio and AIS capabilities. It will be remotely monitored via the SeaPlanner software.
SeaPlanner will aid personnel and contractors inductions, management of all personnel certification, personnel, vessel, and asset tracking, permit to work management and weather forecasting.
SeaRoc Group managing director Steve Pears said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the UK offshore wind industry with support on the Triton Knoll project.”
Triton Knoll project director Julian Garnsey said: “We’re very pleased to be bringing another UK based company onboard to support Triton Knoll, and look forward to working closely with SeaPlanner to coordinate the wind farm construction safely and efficiently from our planned base in Grimsby.”
Offshore construction for Triton Knoll will start in early 2020, coordinated from a new base being built in Grimsby. First power is expected in 2021.
