MGL Cable Services has signed a three-year framework deal to support Seaway 7 with its cable scopes for various global offshore wind projects.
The framework, which started in May, allows Seaway 7 to place call off orders for the provision of personnel and/or equipment for high voltage and fibre optic termination and testing services together with other potential activities available through specific projects.
A project for Seaway 7 has already been undertaken and a second has been received.
Over a 10-month period, it will see the MGL Cable Services providing test engineers to perform cable offload and cable load out testing and reporting, as well as risk assessments and method statements for the works.
MGL Cable Services director Geoff Briggs said: “Securing this framework is a fantastic achievement and is testament to the project delivery team and their commitment to high-quality workmanship and developing strong partnerships.
“We’re looking forward to building on the success of our recently completed scheme and working together to deliver new projects.”
The Port of Blyth (pictured) was selected in late September by Seaway 7 as the location for the storage and mobilisation of array cables for the 1075MW Seagreen offshore wind farm off the coast of Angus, Scotland.
