Sewell Facilities Management has been awarded a contract to provide services for the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm.
The company said it will deliver facilities management for the project’s onshore converter stations in East Yorkshire and Redcar.
It added the scope includes heating, ventilation and air conditioning, grounds maintenance, water hygiene, cleaning and waste management.
Sewell FM noted Dogger Bank is set to become the world’s largest offshore wind farm, generating around 5% of the UK’s electricity and powering almost six million homes.
The company said it will support round-the-clock operations at the sites to ensure reliable performance.
“We’re really excited to be starting this new contract with Dogger Bank Wind Farm, keeping their sites operating around the clock to power homes and businesses,” said Tom Farrow, director at Sewell FM.
“Our multidisciplinary team of expert technicians will ensure the converter stations are kept in great condition, so that the Dogger Bank staff are able to concentrate on providing green electricity to the country.”
