Ocean Breeze has awarded Siem Offshore Contractors a contract for the provision of a walk-to-work service operations vessel (SOV) at the 400MW Bard Offshore 1 wind farm in the German North Sea.
The contract will involve the deployment of the MV Siem Marlin followed by the MV Siddis Mariner in walk-to-work mode.
Ocean Breeze will charter the vessels for 700 days with options to extend the period by up to three additional years.
The charter follows the previous assignment of the MV Siem Emerald and MV Siem Moxie in the past year during which both vessels served as dedicated walk-to-work SOVs.
