Energy logistics company Peterson has won a contract to supply Siemens with aviation fuel for helicopters at the 600MW Gemini wind farm in the Dutch North Sea.
Peterson said it will transport fuel tanks from its supply base in Den Helder, the Netherlands to a Siemens service base in Eemshaven, where the tanks will then be shipped to the wind farm.
The one-year contract commenced 1 August, with the possibility of an up to three-year extension, Peterson’s said.
Siemens said Gemini is equipped with a re-fueling system for helicopters, allowing it to plan missions safely and efficiently.
