Haesong Offshore Wind has signed a memorandum of understanding with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Doosan Enerbility to expand localisation of Korea’s offshore wind supply chain.
The offshore wind company said the parties will explore cooperation across technology, commercial and procurement areas for the Haesong Offshore Wind 1·3 projects.
It added the partnership combines Siemens Gamesa’s turbine expertise with Doosan Enerbility’s manufacturing capabilities to support a localisation model.
The agreement aims to revitalise Korea’s offshore wind ecosystem and strengthen the domestic supply chain.
Haesong Offshore Wind said it will continue working with domestic supply chain companies to build a sustainable offshore wind model linked to local communities.
