Haesong Offshore Wind has signed a capacity reservation agreement with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy for its Haesong 1 and 3 projects, totalling around 1GW of capacity.
The agreement secures turbine manufacturing capacity for the projects and marks a move from a memorandum of understanding to execution, Haesong Offshore Wind Co., Ltd. said.
The deal strengthens cooperation across technology, commercial and procurement areas, the company added.
A letter of intent from Doosan Enerbility supports domestic assembly collaboration linked to the projects.
The partnership aims to support stable project advancement and expand long-term cooperation between the companies.
Haesong Offshore Wind Co., Ltd. said it is focused on building a resilient supply chain and supporting the growth of Korea’s offshore wind industry.
