Sif Holding and Smulders have won a contract to fabricate 71 monopiles and transition pieces for EnBW’s 497MW Hohe See offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Sif will produce the monopiles, while Smulders will manufacture the transition pieces.
The contract was awarded by GeoSea, which is responsible for engineering, procurement, construction and installation of foundations for the project.
Production is scheduled for the second half of 2017 and will run to mid-2018, Sif said.
