UK outfit Specialist Marine Consultants is to provide client representative services for the 120MW Formosa 1 phase two offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
SMC said the services will be provided across a range of installation scopes, including cables, foundations and turbines.
The company has also been providing marine coordination services to the project for several weeks, said SMC operations director Dean Coates.
Formosa 1 phase two is being developed by Orsted (35%), Jera (32.5%), Macquarie Capital Group (25%) and Swancor (7.5%).
It will comprise 20 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines.
SMC operations director Dean Coates said: “We are extremely pleased to build upon our relationship with (Formosa 1).
“Our pioneering support in this emerging market is something we are very proud of and further emphasises our commitment to the region, as well as our capacity to deliver within it.
“We have been working with (Formosa 1) for a number of weeks now, delivering full-scope marine coordination services, with the addition of client reps being a logical complimentary step to take as we support the project in the safe coordination of marine construction activities.”
SMC opened an office in Taiwan in March.
