A major milestone has been reached at Orsted and Eversource Energy’s 130MW South Fork Wind project with the installation of the first American-made offshore wind substation at its perch off the coast of New York.
The developers said that 350+ workers across 3 states supported the construction of this US first that will deliver clean energy to the Long Island grid.

This 12 turbine project will also be the first to connect in New York State and help the Town of East Hampton meet its 100% renewable energy goal.
