Spanish company Vicinay Marine is to supply mooring components for Statoil’s 30MW Hywind Scotland floating offshore wind project.
Workscope includes design, manufacture and delivery of the system with facilities in Sestao and Galdames lined up to tackle the job.
Hywind Scotland off Aberdeen is due online in late 2017.
The project will consist of five Siemens 6MW turbines atop floating spar foundations.
