SPIE Wind Connect has been awarded a contract by Seaway7 to deliver inter-array cable termination and testing for the Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 offshore wind farms in Poland.
SPIE Global Services Energy said SPIE Wind Connect will undertake termination and testing of the 66kV inter-array cable network linking wind turbine generators to offshore substations.
The company added that the main offshore campaign is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2026.
Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 are located in the Polish Exclusive Economic Zone in the southwestern Baltic Sea off northern Poland.
Each project is planned to have an installed capacity of approximately 720MW, with a combined capacity of around 1.44GW.
Each offshore wind farm layout comprises ten strings of five wind turbine generators connected to the offshore substation via 66kV inter-array cables.
Within each string, the outermost turbine will be connected using a 400mm² inter-array cable before a 1000mm² cable carries total string power to the offshore substation.
“We are proud to have been selected by Seaway7 to support the delivery of the Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 offshore wind farms,” said Mike Senior, managing director of SPIE Wind Connect.
“This contract reflects the strength of our technical expertise in high-voltage cable termination and testing, and our proven ability to deliver safely and reliably on large-scale offshore wind projects.”
