Steelwind has secured DNV shop approval for its Nordenham manufacturing site for heavy steel structures for offshore wind turbines.

The company said the certification confirms compliance with DNV-SE-0436:2022-09 for the fabrication of monopile substructures and foundations.
It added that the approval covers outer diameters up to 11.5 metres, lengths up to 120 metres and weights up to 2800 tonnes.
Steelwind stated that the achievement reflects its commitment to quality, safety and sustainability in supporting the global energy transition.
