Jan De Nul jack-up vessel Taillevent has started turbine installation at Trianel’s 200MW Borkum West offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The vessel loaded the first batch of Senvion 6.3MW turbines at the port of Eemshaven in the Netherlands, before departing to the project site.

Borkum West 2.2 will feature 32 Senvion machines.
Installation had been due to start in the second quarter but was delayed because of Senvion’s financial woes.
The wind farm is expected online later this year.
