Swancor has agreed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Taipower for the sale of electricity from the 376MW Formosa 2 offshore wind farm off Taiwan.
The project is being developed by Swancor and Macquarie and secured development rights in Taiwan’s offshore auction in April.

It will bring the total size of the Formosa offshore development to over 500MW.
The two developers together with Orsted are developing the 120MW phase 2 of Formosa 1 and have already built the 8MW first phase.
Phase 2 of Formosa 1 will feature 6MW Siemens Gamesa hardware.
