Taipei has awarded five projects with capacity allocations in its latest offshore auction, totalling 2.7GW.
In a list of awards released by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), local developer Shinfox’s 700MW Youde and Synera Renewable Energy Group (SRE) 800MW Formosa 6 received awards.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ 600MW Fengmiao 2 project was also awarded an allocation, while the 360MW Formosa 3 joint-venture from Corio and TotalEnergies and the 240MW Deshuai project from Enervest rounded out the list of awards.
Orsted was a notable absence from the list, after the developer’s 570MW Greater Changhua 3 proposal was ranked in third by Taipei last month.
Each selected developer is now required to submit a formal notice by 11 November.
