Bids are now being accepted from qualifying applicants for this year’s UK renewables Allocation Round 6 (AR6) auction.
National Grid ESO is inviting sealed bids from renewable energy developers up until 9 August 2024.

More than 10GW offshore wind capacity is eligible to enter the race in Pot 3, which received a £300m top-up last week to increase the size of the total purse to £1.1bn.
Onshore wind will compete in Pot 1 alongside solar. The total budget for this pot is £185m.
Around 2GW-3GW is expected to come through the auction across both these technologies.
The winners of the AR6 are expected to be announced in early September.
