TenneT has launched and priced a €1bn green bond to raise money to invest in new grid capacity for offshore wind farms.
The bond consisted of dual tranche’s of €500m each with eight year and 12-year maturities.
TenneT was supported by five banks with the issuance – ABN Amro, HSBC, NatWest Markets, Rabobank and SMBC Nikko.
The transmission system operator said the latest bond brings its total green finance issuances to €5bn.
