Dutch-German transmission system operator TenneT is seeking companies to carry out geotechnical soil surveys at the proposed locations for three platforms for the IJmuiden Ver offshore wind site off the Netherlands.
The investigation must provide relevant information about the soil to a depth below which possible existence of weak formations will not influence the safety or performance of offshore high voltage substations, the tender document said.
It added that, as well as surveys, the contract includes laboratory and in situ testing, and should also include, but not be limited to, stiffness and damping parameters for all important layers.
The contract is valued at €5.5m and would last 12 months.
Interested parties have until 11am local time on 25 May to apply.
