TenneT is tendering for ground investigation services ahead of the installation of the BorWin kappa offshore converter platform.
The platform off the German coast will form part of the BorWin6 offshore grid connection, capable of transmitting up to 930MW once complete in 2027.

The contract for a main ground investigation to determine the specific type of foundation is to be done in accordance with the BSH standard for subsoil investigation.
This will be carried out through a combination of drilling and soundings to survey the seabed.
The work is scheduled to start on 31 May 2022 and conclude on 31 December 2022.
Interested parties have until 11am local time on 17 January 2022 to submit bids.
