TenneT Offshore has issued a tender to provide cable fault location services at three locations in Germany and the Netherlands.
The contract relates to any cable failures on the grid connection systems in the north of Germany, in Eemshaven/Maasvlakte in the Netherlands.
It also covers sites in the German and the Netherlands part of the North Sea.
Under the service level agreement, the contractor is responsible for the complete implementation of cable fault location on the TenneT’s energy and fibre optic transmission systems.
This includes rough predetermination of the fault location, locating the cable along the respective route and final determination (postdetection) of the fault location with the technical best possible accuracy.
For this purpose, the contractor must be able to perform its work in all environments and areas along the respective cable route (onshore, nearshore, offshore).
The contractor will also provide and operate the necessary resources and equipment in full as well as providing the necessary equipment to provide cable fault location services on the Purchaser’s energy transmission systems.
The agreement runs from 18 March 2021 to 31 December 2022 with an option to renew for two further options.
Submissions should be made by 11am on 30 November 2020.
