Crew transfer vessel operator Tidal Transit has adopted a digital management system from CrewSmart to help manage its fleet and crew.
Tidal Transit said using the new cloud-based system will help the company meet a target of doubling its fleet over the next five years.
“Investment in a system that will manage that transition smoothly has been – and will continue to be – an essential part of the expansion process,” commerical director Leo Hambro said.
“We now have complete visibility and control over our mission-critical information,” he added.
The CrewSmart system provides immediate access to essential information across Tidal Transit’s CTV fleet and crew, including personnel records, crew, and invoicing.
CrewSmart director Christian Adams said a new feature has been added to the software to allow companies to keep track of vessel and crew certifications to give them better visibility of compliance issues they might face.
“[The software] alleviates the administrative burden on the operations team, presenting critical information clearly and instantly, making it easy for the business to act on issues and plan for contracts,” Adams said.
