TotalEnergies has recorded an impairment of $700m mainly related to offshore wind activities.
The French oil and gas major said the charge in the fourth quarter of 2025 is “in particular” due to “offshore wind activity within the Integrated Power segment”.

There was no further explanation of the hit in the Q4 results, which recorded $900m of total impairments, $200m of which related to “inventory valuation effects”.
TotalEnergies has been contacted for comment.
Net power production from solar, wind and hydro grew from 6.5TWh to 8.1TWh year on year, according to the results.
The company’s renewables portfolio also increased, up 2% to 19GW.
