Trianel has extended an EMS Maritime Offshore (EMO) contract for crew transfer services at the 200MW Borkum West offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The one-year extension will see EMO continue to offer services during the O&M phase of the project with the Windea One vessel deployed.
EMO executive Jan Heyenga said: “It is a pleasure to work with the team at Trianel on this project.
“Since the first day with the Windea One we have implemented a trusting and straightforward business relationship.”
The first stage of the offshore wind farm features 40 Areva/Adwen 5MW turbines. The second stage with a further 250 MW is slated to go online in late 2018 or early 2019.
The wind farm is located 45km North of the German island of Borkum.
