London Offshore Consultants (LOC) is carrying out a contract as marine warranty surveying service provider for the 30MW Tamra wind farm in South Korea.
LOC has been appointed by reinsurers Swiss Re and Korean Re, the marine and engineering consultancy said.
The deal is the company’s first wind farm work in the Asia Pacific region, it said.
Tamra, located just off the coast of Jeju Island some 1km from shore, is also the first offshore wind project in Korea.
The project in the Korea Straits will comprise 10 Doosan 3MW wind turbines. So far, the developer has completed the installation of the subsea cables and seven turbines.
