NjordIC has won a contract to provide full-scope UXO consultancy for the Doordewind 1 and 2 grid connection system to be commissioned by TenneT.
The company said the work covers survey preparation, offshore survey operations and geophysical data analysis along an export cable route of about 112 kilometres offshore and a further 14 kilometres through the Wadden Sea.
NjordIC will act as independent UXO consultant and CS-OOO A-scope holder for TenneT, overseeing surveys across beach, tidal, nearshore and offshore areas and delivering all CS-OOO–compliant documentation.
The scope also includes processing and interpretation of raw magnetometry data and producing the master target lists that will guide safe cable installation.
NjordIC added that its new remote data centre will support high-volume data processing to reduce false positives and meet deadlines ahead of 31 December 2026.
“Doordewind 1&2 is a major project within the Dutch offshore grid programme,” said Erik Wildeman, co-owner and UXO consultant at NjordIC.
“We are proud to contribute our specific UXO expertise to the safe, controlled, and efficient delivery of this critical infrastructure.”
