Goldwind has secured a 470MW turbine order in Brazil.
The deal covers 76 GWH182-6.2MW machines to be supplied from the manufacturer’s facility in Bahia, which the company said will strengthen supply chain reliability and support local industrial development.
The project was not disclosed.
All turbines will be sourced under the FINAME regime, enabling access to BNDES or BNB financing designed to reduce project costs and speed deployment, the Chinese OEM stated.
Goldwind added that the contract includes a 30-year full-service agreement to support long-term operational performance and energy output.
The project is expected to deliver clean electricity for more than 150,000 households each year.
“This cooperation is of extraordinary significance,” said Xuan Liang, CEO of Goldwind South America.
“The project marks Goldwind’s intelligent manufacturing globalization and deeper presence in South American market.”
