Vattenfall has installed the accommodation platform for its 288MW DanTysk and 288MW Sandbank wind farms in the German North Sea.
Heavy lift crane Stanislav Yudin was deployed for both the 1300 tonne jacket and the 2,500 tonne topside at the construction site some 70km off the island of Sylt.
The 44 metre tall jacket is installed at water depths of some 25m. It was built by Emder Werft und Dockbetriebe EWD shipyard in Emden.
The platform, built by German Naval Yards in Kiel and finished by EWD shipyard will host up to 50 O&M staff members for Vattenfall’s DanTysk and Sandbank wind farms.
The platform will be fully operational in early August, Vattenfall said.
