The Engie Fabricom-Iemants consortium has loaded out the first topside for the offshore substations for Dong Energy’s 660MW Walney 3 wind farm in the Irish Sea.
The load out took place in Hoboken in Belgium, with the topside removed from its base and put on to a pontoon.
The topside is alongside its jacket foundation, which had been transported from the Iemants’ yard in Vlissingen in the Netherlands to Hoboken, the consortium said.
The load outs of the second topside and jacket for Walney will take place later this month, it added.
