Winergy has commissioned its 2.8MW test bench at the company’s service centre in Rockhampton, Australia.
The German turbine component manufacturer says the test rig for wind power gearboxes at the facility in Queensland is the largest in the country.
Winergy vice president service Detlef Eißing said: “This test bench helps us to secure the reliability of our gearboxes. The result is minimized lifecycle costs for our customers.”
The load test bench completes Wingery’s full service and repair capability in Australia, the company added.
Part of the Siemens group, it has has supplied more than 125,000MW gearboxes worldwide.
