AES Bulgaria has recorded a generation record from its 156MW St Nikola wind farm in the country.
The 52-turbine project, online since 2010, generated 52,000MWh last month, a best-ever performance and up 70% from November.

Total generation for the last year reached 338,000MWh of green energy.
With its 156 MW of capacity, the wind farm represents around 22% of the total wind capacity installed in Bulgaria.
In late 2021, St. Nikola Wind Farm secured a €64m credit facility, provided by the EBRD and two commercial banks.
The package includes refinancing of the remaining exposure on a previous loan and a new commitment of €16m.
